Welcome to Our School

St Mary's CE VC Primary is situated in Thorncombe, on the edge of West Dorset. We have 61 pupils in three mixed age classes and have large grounds in which the school is located.

Our school is a friendly place where warm relationships between pupils, staff, parents and Governors underpin the secure environment in which our pupils flourish and learn. Our values and beliefs are underpinned from the school's Christian foundation and we have good links with St Mary's Church in the village.

We have achieved the National Healthy Schools Award, Activemark and Eco Schools Green Flag Award. These reflect the outstanding quality of learning that takes place at our school. We hope you find this website useful and I am more than happy to show you around should you wish to visit.
